All Through the Year
A personal almanac of a little girl and her family that opens a window onto each month of her year. Each spread is devoted to one month and we are taken on a journey through the Australian seasons as well as this girl's loves and family traditions. It's everything that's fun about being a kid - all year round. I absolutely adore this book. It is everything that is true and good about growing up in Australia. For many children the beautiful verses and pictures cherishes the everyday and the ordinary and for many parents it is a nostalgic reminder of why every season is different and beautiful here in Australia. When I read this book with my kids, I love how the author evokes such beautiful pictures and asks us to slow down and revel in all that is good with each season with our children.

Her work is published internationally and she has received many commendations. Jane's most recent novel is Falling From Grace, and her most recent picture book is Little Cat and the Big Red Bus, illustrated by Anna Walker and published in November 2008.
