Natural Backyard Play

As the days get longer children will be spending more time outside. How simple backyard fun can be when you put some pieces of wood in it! SIMPLY GOOD COOKING: Ayurvedic Porridge

This has become my porridge of choice this winter. So warming and the smell in the kitchen is awesome Ingredients: 1 cup rolled oats 1 tbsp ghee (clarified butter) Small handful raisins Raw honey or organic sugar to taste 1 tsp cardamom and/or freshly grated ginger 1 tsp cinnamon powder 1 cup milk ½ to 1 cup hot water Method: Add the ghee to a pot and heat, when ghee becomes hot add fresh ginger, salt and raisins, cook until raisins swell and ginger releases aroma(this won't take long).
