Wingo is the name given to the tree that grows in the jungle regions surrounding the Amazon River. It is an ancient tree and oddly, it has no other purpose for the nut othean for decoration. Inside the seeds are round, black and make excellent shaker seeds. That is what you hear when you shake a Wingo! The outside of the nut is carved beautifully in traditional and modern designs the Shipebo and other Amazonian Peoples. Play it like a maracas.
