Very dwarf mixture of the crested French Marigolds, plants only grow to 30cms tall and produce bright coloured flowers in a mixture of orange and red hues. Easy to grow, suited to small pots.

Ensure your soil is nutrient rich so prepare it with fresh manure and compost a fortnight before planting. Likes a well-drained soil type.

Position
Full sun but won’t mind a little afternoon shading.

How to Plant
Sow directly into your patch when daytime temperatures regularly surpass 18-20 degrees. If still too cold, propagate in seed trays and transplant when conditions have improved.

Marigolds are often used as companion plants, as they are reputed to deter pests. Particularly helpful with tomatoes.
