This wonderful board game can be played two ways.

First game (suitable for age 5 +)
The dwarves hide in the shadows of the trees and sought by the wandering light. The burning candle in the dark walks through the forest and looks for the little gnomes hiding in their shadows. If a dwarf is struck by a beam of light, he is enchanted and can not move. The other dwarves try to save him again. But they have to wait until the light is far enough away so that another dwarf in the shadow can reach him. The dwarfs all want to meet under a tree, while the candle is trying to enchant all the dwarfs. Who will win?

Second game (suitable for age 7+)
The Dwarves have to walk through the shadows in the woods and jump over the fire. The light will be in place. Those who remain in the shadows, wait for a player with the beam of light to come and help. The game ends when all the dwarfs came home safely.

The magical forest shadow play is made of strong material is beautifully and colourfully designed.The board will put together like a simple puzzle.

Two cooperative dice games for 2 to 8 persons from 5 years (front) and 7 years (back).
Because of the candle must be an adult present.

IT's AWESOME

We just played this game and it is great.... he is 10 and loved the imagination and strategy of it, I cant wait to take this game camping!!! So easy and even the hubbie was intrigued!! Especially since he was tired from work! Highly recommended!

So glad I bought this game for the kids!

This is surely the best game we've ever owned: each time they play, our kids have to make up the wooden trees and the jigsaw (large piece) game board, as such they are really participating in the game. They work collaboratively to hide the gnomies and outwit the adult whose role it is to push the tea light around, which is gold especially in school holidays when they are sometimes otherwise arguing! It's also a lovely thing to do especially at midwinter, when we turn within to our inner light. And while the object is for the gnomes to hide from the light, it reminds us of an assembly verse at their Steiner school: 'Turn eastwards and behold the light... that lights that every living creature on earth. For there is nothing dark it does not lighten, for there is nothing hard it cannot melt, there is nothing lost it will not save'. The kids love us spending the time playing with them too. Steph :)
